Strength
“Wake up my love. Have this.” “I can’t get up. I’m dying of hunger.” “Death my love, I’ve got you food.” Those words were music to her ears. It was like water to a man dying of thirst in the hot, sunny desert. Well!!! She was dying, not of thirst but of hunger, and hmmm… she was a woman not a man. Safe to say, “Like a woman dying of hunger.” Jokes apart. Even with the hunger pangs killing her. She mustered all the strength her weak, frail body could gather and replied, “No. Please tell me you didn’t kill anyone onboard. You did not break your pact and the promises we made before embarking on this journey.” “No my love, I know love knows no boundaries, but trust me these souls do not belong to anyone onboard. They are souls, the food of your life that I saved for a rainy day. Take it, feed on them, make them one with you and Eternity.” She fed and before going to sleep whispered, “Thank you my love.” Even with all the burdens and death tugging at my beloved death, she was strong, yes only a woman could have will power this strong.” I raised my eyes up towards the hopeless HOPE, and glancing at the ships window I could see that we had reached our destination. The bright blue beautiful planet Earth lay before us. The captain announced, “Prepare for landing, we will be entering the Earth’s atmosphere in 8. Sorry to miss our target of 07.07.07:07.07.07 by a long shot.”

Death Hungers
She sat at a corner wearing her beautiful red robe and cried, “I hunger, I can’t stand it any more. I need to feed.” He stroked her silky, long hair and whispered tenderly, “I know my dear, my only purpose is to find souls for you to feed on. That’s why I, The Grim Reaper, was created to aid you my beloved Death. It pains me to see you suffer.” “Can’t you just feed me the souls of the ones aboard this ship.” He consoled her once more. “No, there’s a time for everything and your time will come soon. I can see our destination. We arrive on Earth shortly, my love.”

Hope and Dreams
Hope: “How can one person make a difference? What can one person do?” It was early morning; an old man was walking down a sea shore. He saw a young man pick up starfishes that were stranded on the shore and toss them back in the sea. The old man said, “Young man, your efforts are futile. Besides, the shore is too big, you will not be able to save them all. The sun will come up soon and kill them. What difference will you make?” The young man picked up a starfish, tossed it into the sea, and said “I don’t know what difference I’ll make; all I know is that I made a difference in that starfish’s life.” MORAL: Old people should not interfere with the dreams of the young ;) Nah! Real moral is “Don’t let go off your dreams.”

Chapter 1: The Begining - of the end.
“Don’t leave us. Don’t go.”, she said. “Why shouldn't I? What have I to lose? What difference will it make? Nobody needs me here. In fact, by accepting this mission, I’ll be doing all a favor.” “What about your fiancée? You promised her a lot. How can you just let her go?” “You know that was a big mistake, she’ll manage. Well if was.. Nevermind! You’ll never understand and neither will she. I’ve got to go now, time’s running out.” “You know that you are on a suicide mission. You may never see us again. They’ve not even guaranteed that you’ll reach that lousy planet alive.” “Don’t say that. You know the statistics and the probability. I was lucky to be chosen for this mission. They selected one person each from the 25 planets in our solar system. I was the lucky one from our planet. Not anyone else. It was “ME”. “You think so highly about yourself then Go. And…. Let it be. Bye and take care.” “Good bye” I packed my capsules. All the stuff that I owned, including my trusty gyrosphere and my tracerbeam – a big mistake. Our spaceship took off for, as she said, that lousy planet – Earth. We were chosen, not because we were lucky or special, but because we were targeted as “rejects” by the Hydro computer. It’s a computer that tries to make our world perfect. “We” were the ones spoiling the balance of our home planet and hence were exiled, in the name of a better future for the planet. Fate plays her own game. At times, she cheats the undeserving and helps us low lives. As Fate had it planned…. Seconds before we could enter hyperspace, to reach Earth, I looked back at our “perfect” planet. Tears rolled down my eyes as I saw a fleet of Raoaytrnsus ships descend on our solar system. A member of our crew shouted, “Noooo!!! This can’t be happening they have no chance to fight. They cannot defend themselves.” And another cry out “Why did we destroy all our weapons? It did bring us Peace but at what cost? The Raoaytrnsus will enslave all our people. They’ll destroy everything.” And I thought to myself “This is it, we were damned---damned to die—but now we’re damned to survive. What use is a lonely life?” But Fate had different plans…..as she gently kissed me and said “Everything has a meaning. You just gotta find yours.” Was that the last I’ll ever see of her? Only Time will tell. This was a part of my story. The story of Howard Otto Paul Elmqvist – HOPE.

Disclaimers and fine print
Ok, let's start. Hmmm… before we start, I want to make one thing clear. Yeah, a "Disclaimer". Don't you just love them, those lovely disclaimers? They go on like, "By reading this and viewing this page you agree to the Terms and Conditions…..Blah Blah Blah." In short, no matter what I write, no matter what I say, even if I call any politician an @$$|^|0|3 (sorry, didn't mean to use words. Oh goodie! It blanked out into non readable, censored characters) you can't do anything to me. Well, you can, but let's not get into that. Don't want to give you any ideas. So my disclaimer is as follows: DISCLAIMER: Any resemblance to any person dead, alive, or who is to be born, both on this planet, also known as Earth, or any other planet whose name cannot be mentioned her due to a lack of availability of the required font at the time of writing this, is purely coincidental. The writer or anyone associated or not associated with the writer cannot be held liable for any loss or damage caused arising from reading the content that is to follow. That includes the tips and tricks given for flying, (lot's of time for this) mind running (this will come after the flying), or any other activity mentioned here in the near future. You are however obliged to return as Goodwill to Writer 10% of the proceeds if ever you gain from these posts. Goodwill not limited to the green and other colored pieces of paper used on the planet Earth. Other currencies and gifts are welcome, exceptions: stuff that harm earthlings. You see the disclaimer just saves you when you try to get into trouble. It's like an invisible shield. Alternatively, you if you want to shoot someone with invisible bullets. You have something called "The Fine Print" it's those small words at the bottom or at the back of the document that you sign. Look harder, you will always find one somewhere. Use a microscope if you have to. THE FINE PRINT: (Can't read it. Oh! It totally slipped my mind that you need a " " that reads " " (Oops. Font unavailability problem. Let's call it a "eosri urwpyevr oeflmcocp"*. (And I call myself a "writer". Look harder, that does use an "a" and not an "an". You can get it from the Twenty-fifth planet in the eleventh solar system that's located between Ophiuchus and Capricornus. How did I write and know about it you ask. I got it from my friend who happened to live on that planet. More about him will follow soon. Now that I've started, I'm gonna tell you all about him. But, you'll have to wait for that.
*Can also be referred to as “very powerful microscope”.
